Roosevelt did many things that improved the U.S during his presidency. Other opinions people might have are that the building of the canal was a faster way of transporting goods. The technique used in this cartoon is exaggeration because Roosevelt is bigger than everyone. It also uses labeling because there is a little flag that says new treaty. Bogota was a country the U.S gained. Columbia was holding the U.S back from building the Panama Canal.
